Pulled Pork
Ingredients:
2 medium onions, chopped
1 cup ketchup
2/3 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup tomato paste
4 Tablespoons paprika
1/2 Tablespoon cayenne pepper
4 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
7 teaspoons salt
3 teaspoons black pepper
5 lbs pork butt, (you can cut this into 2 pieces)
Rolls or buns (we picked slider buns)
Directions:
Because I hate to clean baked on messes I use slow cooker liners, but you don’t have to use these
Devin took over the prepping of the meat and did a nice rub down with some pork rub
This is optional, but if you choose to do a rub down make sure you rub down all the sides
Then he placed it in the oven for about 30 minutes at 350 F to get the rub to cook in and start the cooking process
Combine all of the ingredients except the pork butt and the buns in a large slow cooker. Stir together with a spoon until well combined
Add the pork
and place the lid on top
Cook for about 8 hours on low or until pork is tender and pulls apart easily from the bone
Take two forks and shred the pork and stir well
Serve on buns or rolls
